Unified Fitness Clubs Making Great Strides

United Fitness Clubs for Special Olympics Indiana logo

In keeping with Special Olympics’ commitment to improving the overall health and quality of life of the people we serve, Unified Fitness Clubs have been springing up across the state—offering opportunities for athletes and unified partners to come together for group exercise on a regular basis. With a successful first year (plus) in the books, we’re proud to report that we ended UFC Version 1.0 with 40 Clubs, including a total of 767 members who walked/ran an incredible 573,387 miles in 2017-2018!

More importantly there were many success stories involving athletes and partners losing weight, participating in community events, and demonstrating the leadership required to manage such a large program. We’re working now on Version 2.0 of the program, to be announced in the coming months.
