    Bowling has grown into one of the most popular sports offered in our program. The State Bowling Tournament, held annually in late fall, brings together hundreds of athletes and Unified partners from across the state for two days of fun and competition in Indianapolis.

Tomas Sliva Heads to Special Olympics World Winter Games Trials

U.S. Alpine Ski event is this weekend in Salt Lake City

Indianapolis resident Tomas Sliva will travel this weekend to Salt Lake City to participate in the Special Olympics USA Team Trials for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Torino 2025.

Sliva is a member of the Special Olympics Indiana Marion County Northeast program. He will be traveling with coach, Duncan Myers, who will serve as an assistant coach during the Trials.

Special Olympics Indiana nominated Sliva for the trials, which are a mix of sport training, health education and bonding for the athletes.

The Special Olympics World Winter Games Torino 2025 take place March 8-16 in the northwest Italian city of Turin, host of the 2006 Winter Olympics. More than 100 countries are expected send athletes.

Special Olympics hosts international Summer Games and Winter Games every four years. The next Summer Games is 2027 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Special Olympics Indiana hosts its Summer Games June 7-9 at Indiana State University and Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute.
