EKS Weekend Event Changes to Accommodate Weather

To ensure the cornhole competition takes place Sunday and with the unfavorable weather forecast for the weekend, we are moving the cornhole competition, souvenirs and awards inside the Events Center.

Due to limited availability, space restrictions and other competitions, all other scheduled activities at Brebeuf and Grand Park will remain outside at this time.

Because of the limited space and seating at the Grand Park Events Center, after your athletes and Unified partners have played, please relocate outside the building to allow for space for the next group of competitors and spectators. Grand Park has provided us this space to ensure we are able to host the competition. However, nobody can camp out and congregate in the facility or on the sidewalk and grass area outside the building.

Delegation check-in will remain outside at the purple tent, and each Head of Delegation must still check in there and provide any team scratches there. For the cornhole competition:

  • Red tablecloths and a red banner will communicate the Red Management Team and Red Awards Team.
  • Black tablecloths and a blue banner will communicate the Blue Management Team Tent and Blue Awards Team.

We have created this plan with the space provided to maximize athlete safety and have a spectator viewing area during competition and during awards presentations. It is imperative we stick to this plan so all spectators can view their athletes.

At Grand Park, soccer, the team camp area, opening ceremonies, festival and concessions will remain outside, and if there is no rain there is no reason to not set up your team camp outside in the originally dedicated location and enjoy all the activities. If there is rain, unfortunately, we recommend either the use of your cars or buses that you used for transportation during your downtime.

Absolutely no tents and outside food are allowed inside the events center. Chairs are welcome during watching your athlete’s competition but must be removed once your athlete is finished with that round.

Equestrian start time change
