2025 Winter Games Set to Take Place Jan. 12-14
Special Olympics Indiana’s 44th annual Winter Games are Jan. 12-14 at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg. Hundreds of athletes from across the state will take part in three sports.
An Opening Ceremony takes place Sunday, Jan. 12 with state championships for Alpine skiing, snowboarding and snoeshoeing on Jan. 13-14.
“The Winter Games are a unique experience for our athletes, and these three days renew Special Olympics Indiana’s commitment to offer sports training and competition opportunities year-round,” Special Olympics Indiana President and CEO Jeff Mohler said.
The weekend also includes an Opening Ceremony and Winter Fest celebration at nearby Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center, where athletes and their families can participate in games, activities and more between events.
The competition schedule includes:
Sunday, Jan. 12
- Opening Ceremonies: 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 13
- Practice: 9 a.m. to noon
- Competition: 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 14
- Competition: 10 a.m. to noon
- Awards: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There is no charge for spectators, and media members are welcome.

- Marion County – IPS
- Marion County – Northeast
- Marshall-Starke County
- Putnam County
