Experience “The Carl Erskine Story” on the Big Screen!
Special Olympics Indiana has teamed up with award-winning Indiana filmmaker Ted Green to share the life story of Indiana icon and MLB great Carl Erskine, who has had an immeasurable impact on the Special Olympics movement.
“The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story” highlights Carl’s life as an advocate of acceptance and inclusion, his storied baseball career and his important role as a parent to a son with Down syndrome.
Since its debut in August 2022 in Carl’s hometown of Anderson, this inspiring film has been seen by tens of thousands of people in theaters across Indiana. Bring “The Best We’ve Got” To Your Community
Help spread Carl Erskine’s message of friendship, inclusion, and servant leadership by hosting a screening of “The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story.” This can be done at your organization, business, church, community center, college, theater or any gathering place. A screening provides an opportunity for community building, celebration, learning and discussion.
A Public Screening License (PSL) is required for out-of-home viewings of “The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story.” By purchasing a PSL, you receive:
- Rights for a one-time public screening of “The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story”
- A DVD or digital copy of the documentary
- A digital marketing toolkit
To host a local screening, complete the following online form and payment at least 30 days before your preferred screening date. Once your screening date is approved, an invoice will be sent to you via email for completion.
