Special Olympics USA Games

The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will bring 4,000 athletes to Minneapolis on June 20-26 to compete in 16 team and individual sports. Hosted at some of the Midwest’s top athletic facilities including the University of Minnesota, the USA Games offer athletes, coaches and families a week of national competition while surrounded by all the Twin Cities have to offer.

Team Composition

Team Indiana includes female athletes, male athletes, Unified partners and coaches. In some sports, individuals compete in categories or levels. When nominating athletes and partners, county coordinators should be sure those competitors have the ability to compete in the events and/or distances listed for each sport. In Basketball, Golf and Flag Football, athletes and partners are limited to one event. In Bocce, Bowling, Cornhole, Soccer, Swimming and Track and Field, athletes are limited to three events. In Bocce and Bowling, athletes and partners are limited to three events. In Powerlifting, athletes and Unified partners are limited to four events.
