    Bowling has grown into one of the most popular sports offered in our program. The State Bowling Tournament, held annually in late fall, brings together hundreds of athletes and Unified partners from across the state for two days of fun and competition in Indianapolis.

Team Indiana Leadership Announced for 2026 USA Games

Special Olympics Indiana has announced the leadership team for Team Indiana as it prepares for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis.

The team includes volunteers who bring a wealth of experience and are committed to leading Team Indiana throughout the next year and half.

The leadership team includes:

  • Katie Hilt, head of delegation
  • Scott Furnish, assistant head of delegation
  • Kevin Aders, assistant head of delegation
  • Brad Ehrlich, equipment manager
  • Ella Boyd-Strimple, training coordinator
  • Donna Hazelett, training coordinator
  • Rose Terwiske, families coordinator
  • Stef Morgan, medical coordinator
  • Melony Salla, public relations and media coordinator
  • Zach Spicer, public relations and media coordinator

USA Games are held every four years in locations throughout the United States. In 2026, the Special Olympics USA Games will unite more than 100,000 athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans in Minnesota.

The mission of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games is to create an inclusive event that celebrates ability, delivers the highest quality experiences for all stakeholders and leaves a lasting legacy of positive change.


The sports will take place at the University of Minnesota RecWell in Minneapolis and the National Sports Center in Blaine, respectively.
