How to Donate Your Car
- Fill out the donation form online or by calling us at (888) 828-0022. We’ll ask for some information about your vehicle and where it will be picked up.
- A local towing agent will contact you within two to three business days to schedule a free pickup time most convenient for you.
- After your car is sold, you’ll receive an email that contains a tax receipt.
Frequently Asked Questions
We accept all running and non-running car donations. Other vehicles such as trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, planes, heavy machinery, trailers and RV’s are accepted on a case-by-case basis. You’ll need to have a clear title and at least three inflated tires on your vehicle. If you have questions about a vehicle you’d like to donate, give us a call at (888) 828-0022.
On the day of pick up, you’ll hand over the car keys and signed title to the tow driver. Instructions on how to sign your title can be found in the confirmation email you receive after you submitted the donation form. You can also call our processing center at (888) 828-0022 and a customer service representative will walk you through the process.
When you donate a car in Indiana, you should remove the license plates before the car is picked up. License plates are not required to be returned to the Indiana BMV.
Our trusted partners at Advanced Remarketing Services return 75-80% of the gross sale price of your car donation back to Special Olympics, the highest of any vehicle donation program.
Yes! Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you will receive an email with a tax receipt for your car donation. If your car sold for over $500, you can claim a tax benefit of the full selling price. If it sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value up to $499. Please consult with your tax advisor on how to claim your car donation tax deduction.
