Volunteer with us

Special Olympics Indiana divides the state into County and Area programs. County Programs are led by volunteer committees that ensure year-round sports training and competition for eligible athletes. While each committee typically serves one county, there are some that oversee multiple rural counties or portions of urban counties. The appointed County Coordinator oversees the program's operations. Connect with your local coordinator to learn more!

Barker

Barker brings her positive energy, empathy and ideas to the program in Washington Township. She works alongside athletes as a Unified partner and as a mentor for Athlete Leadership University, a twice-a-year opportunity at Butler University for athletes to learn advanced skills. For her dedication, she is the 2024 Volunteer of the Year.
