ALU Graduate Program

Partnering with Toyota Motor North America, Special Olympics International (SOI) selected SOIN to implement a Unified Leadership initiative. “The Unified Leadership approach helps people without disabilities to turn from unconscious bias to conscious inclusion, changing their attitudes and behaviors to create meaningful inclusion in their teams, organizations, families, and communities.”

Our goal is to provide athlete leaders with professional development and work experience to prepare them for full time employment in the community. Successful completion of the program may lead to a paid position in the Special Olympics Indiana State Office. As the first step toward meeting our goal, Athlete Leadership University (ALU) is proud to announce the creation of the ALU Graduate Program. This two-year program includes four two-day training sessions and two one-year internships.

    Posters for SOIN Events

Would you like to make a poster Special Olympics Indiana can use at events throughout the year? We would like to have posters that feature one person in your life who has supported you or mentored you on and off the playing field. This could be a parent, a coach, a teacher, or volunteer. Summer Games is on Father’s Day weekend this year. What a great time to highlight the important people in our lives. But let’s do it all year, not just one weekend!
