This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Polar Plunge, the annual fundraiser that includes jumping into freezing water in the middle of winter to support Special Olympics Indiana’s athletes. In honor of this event, the 2023-24 scarf project will feature three colors. We hope to receive 300 scarves in all, to be given to athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters at the State Winter Games and Polar Plunges. All scarves must be sent to the state office by Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.

Again, the official Indiana colors for 2023 are:

• Red Heart — Royal Blue 0385
• Red Heart — Light Grey 1441
• Red Heart — White: 311

Both yarn colors are available through Michaels, Joann Fabrics, Walmart and Amazon.

We recommend scarves be a 6-inch width and 54-60 inches including fringe in length. We have no pattern requirements.
