Through Special Olympics’ Unified Champion Schools program, high school students in Indiana and across the country are embracing Unified Sports® and, together, are making social inclusion a priority in their lives.
In keeping with Special Olympics’ commitment to improving the overall health and quality of life of the people we serve, Unified Fitness Clubs have been springing up across the state—offering opportunities for athletes and unified partners to come together for group exercise on a regular basis.
This July, Thomas and Frederico will be attending the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle to participate in the Youth Leadership Experience (YLE). Along with Unified pairs from across the country, Thomas and Frederico were chosen for the YLE because of their leadership skills and passion for inclusion.

The 500 Festival, a nonprofit organization providing life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500®, have announced that Abby Abel and Mitch Bonar have been named Grand Marshals of the 2018 IPL 500 Festival Parade.
The Men’s and Youth Finals for Special Olympics Indiana’s 2018 State Basketball Tournament, scheduled for March 24 and 25 in Indianapolis, have been cancelled due to extreme weather and rapidly deteriorating road conditions.
