| The 2010 Plane Pull Challenge was our largest Plane Pull event to date. We crushed the 59 team high mark by having 70 teams compete. More than $126,000 was also raised earning another event record. We can't thank you enough for all the hard work that our participants do to support our Special Olympics Athletes. Thanks again and we hope to see you again at our tenth Plane Pull anniversary next year. |

| About the Event |
 |
The FedEx Plane Pull Challenge is a fun, wacky, giant tug-of-war between you, your friends and a 147,000 lb. FedEx Boeing 727. The event raises funds and awareness for nearly 10,000 Special Olympics athletes in Indiana. Don't miss the fun as teams of up to 20 people compete to pull a jumbo jet a distance of 12 feet across the tarmac in the least amount of time!

The 2010 FedEx Plane Pull Challenge will take place on Saturday, August 28th at the former Indianapolis International Airport. For directions to the location, click here.

| How to Join the Fun |
| |
|
Registration: To participate, each team must raise at least $1,000 in pledges. All funds raised by the event benefit Special Olympics Indiana. To register yourself and your team for the 2010 Plane Pull Challenge, click Plane Pull registration. Please have each individual that is considering participating complete the online registration. Final rosters are not due until the day of the event on August 28.
Online fundraising: Create your own free, personal Plane Pull webpage by following the step by step instructions. Sign up today and start collecting pledges online at www.firstgiving.com/soindiana. Each donation will automatically be added to your Plane Pull team total. See how you rank against the other teams!

| Team Classifications |
| |
| Each team will compete in one of six seven divisions: All-Star, Corporate, High School, Open, Public Safety, Unified Special Olympics or Women's |

| New High School Division!!! |
| |
| This new division gives today's youth a chance to show some muscle! Designated for high school groups, clubs and sports teams, teams in this division must include at least 18 school-aged participants. Teachers, parents and coaches are welcome to fill the other spots. Teams with less than 18 students can participate in the Open Division. |

| Each team must raise at least $1,000 to participate in the event for which each participant will receive a souvenir event t-shirt. If your team raises more, you get more! And so does Special Olympics Indiana. |

| Awards are given out at the conclusion of the Plane Pull competition in the following categories: Overall Fastest Pull, Lowest Combined Weight, Division Champions, Best Team Costume, Most Team Spirit, Top Team Fundraiser, Top Individual Fundraiser* |

| Runway Run - New Event!!!! |
|
|
| When was the last time you were able to go for a stroll on an airport tarmac? With the Special Olympics Indiana Runway Run presented by Anthem, now you can! A new event, held in conjunction with the FedEx Plane Pull® Challenge, the Runway Run features a unique, 7.27 K—as in Boeing 727 aircraft—course through the airport grounds. The event will also feature a one mile fun run / walk perfect for all members of the family! The run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and depart from the Plane Pull competition area between what was concourses C and D at the former Indianapolis Airport terminal. |

| Individuals raise just $25 to participate, with a special award for the Top Individual Fundraiser. Participants will receive a souvenir event t-shirt and the satisfaction of supporting Special Olympics Indiana without pulling a plane! The Top Individual Fundraiser Award will go to the Runway Run participant who raises the most funds for Special Olympics Indiana in addition to their $25 entry fee. Additional cash prizes will be awarded to the top three open males and top three open females.

| Pre-registration Day |
| |
|
Your team can pre-register for the Plane Pull Challenge at the Special Olympics Indiana State Office on Wednesday, August 25th from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm EST. Teams that pre-register will receive a free 8x10 team photo! Also, teams that pre-register will get to choose when your team pulls within your division.
At pre-registration, your team captain will turn in your team waiver and money and will be able to pick up your team shirts, as sizes are available.

Want a chance to learn more about the Plane Pull Challenge and size up the competition? Come join Chris Denari, voice of the Pacers and emcee for the Plane Pull Challenge Kickoff breakfast! This year's kickoff will take place on Friday, June 25 from 7:30 to 8:30am and will be hosted by RW Armstrong. Free parking for the event will be available at the Union Station parking garage (across the street from Union Station on South Meridian Street). Please RSVP for the 2010 Plane Pull Kickoff breakfast by clicking Breakfast Registration and signing your name, team name and number of attendees. This event is free of charge. |
